The importance of venue location

Location, Location, Location

Every event planner's main goal is to find the perfect venue for their event

But choosing the right venue can be very frustrating.

Location

The location of the venue is the main factor—no matter how beautiful a space is or how delicious the food is, if the attendees are having difficulties getting to the event, then you have a problem.

Traveling to the venue should not feel like an expedition into the concrete jungle. Here are some tips to choose the venue with the most suitable location.

Major Transportation

Major Transportation Hubs

Having a venue close to major transportation lines is very important. This will make it easier for your attendees to get to the event from any part of the city. After all, people don’t want to walk too far, especially if they’re lugging around packages and equipment.

Hotel

Hotels and Resorts

Find venues close to hotels, especially if you are having an event overseas. There is no harm in taking a good nap after a long day (or during a long day).

Grand Central Station

Major Unique Attractions

Organizing your event next to major attractions (such as Time Square in NYC, Union Station in D.C., or Balboa Park in San Diego, etc.) always motivates people to attend. It also gives them something to do after the event.
